mymedicalimages.com Offers AAOS Members Access to a New Era of Image Sharing

Image-sharing Platform Joins American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons Member Advantage Program

Boca Raton, Fla. (March 22, 2021)—mymedicalimages.com is proud to join the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) Member Advantage Program, an exclusive AAOS member-only program that offers a wide range of discounts and member savings on the most reliable and relevant products and services. As a program partner, mymedicalimages makes it one step easier for orthopaedic surgeons across the country to access a simple and secure method for sharing medical images.

“This partnership is win-win for all,” said Dan Hodgeman, CEO and founder of mymedicalimages.com. “Backed by decades of orthopaedics and imaging experience, we couldn’t be more excited to help enhance the physician-patient relationship. Especially now, in the growing world of telemedicine and second opinions. mymedicalimages is simply a better way to get images from patients.”

With mymedicalimages, physicians and patients can instantly receive or share medical images (DICOM). Free to physicians, patients can upload medical images by clicking a simple mymedicalimages “Uploader Button” placed onto the practice webpage. There, patients upload their medical images directly into the provider account where the files can be quickly viewed or transferred to their PACS digital imaging system.

According to New York orthopaedic surgeon David Helfet, MD, FAAOS, this new technology brings a long overdue solution to many problems. “It’s common for us (surgeons) to receive requests from colleagues to provide an opinion on a case, only to receive a low-quality photo via an unsecured email or text. Even worse, new patients will often mail or bring in their images on CDs that we cannot open. By using mymedicalimages, I can see the images, reports, and notes within seconds, and at no cost.”

“We are excited to welcome mymedicalimages to the AAOS Member Advantage Program,” said Ben Harkinson, vice president, AAOS Commercial Solutions. “Together with our partners, we strive to offer value-added solutions to support AAOS Members. With turnkey access to reputable products and services, orthopaedic surgeons can find relevant resources that support their needs.”

To get started, go to mymedicalimages.com/aaos, AAOS members can click “sign up”, then choose “Health Care / Physician.” Contact mymedicalimages to install the “Uploader Button” with your website administrator. AAOS members will be provided a special code for Member Advantage benefits.
